The Tyree wild horse first originated from a mountain range in the north western Americas. These mountains were inaccessible to man for many years due to their rugged nature, but these horses evolved to thrive in the harsh conditions. These mountains became very frigid in the winters and extremely hot in the summers, so a very resilient breed formed.
The horses— with their hardy coats to protect from the elements, sturdy tails capable of helping them balance in the most tedious places, and their horns to dig up roots and other food sources and defend themselves from predators— flourished. But, they have since begun to be overpopulated for the diminishing food source.
This population would have been supportable by the environment had it not been for the intrusion of man. Many had no clue of the existence of the Tyree horses in the area and harvested the edible grasses and other plants from the mountain to feed their livestock as soon as innovations allowed them to bear the harsh conditions of the mountains. The tyree breed was discovered and dated to be extremely old, once perfected for its environment but now struggling in competition with these livestock.
Now we are doing our best to protect these horses. Upon taming them, it has been discovered that the Tyree wild horses are excellent at western disciplines as well as driving. Tyrees are not limited to western disciplines however, and thrive in most disciplines they are trained in as a very well-rounded breed. The Tyree horses have not proved easy to tame though, it does take considerable time and effort to make these hardy horses rideable. But, once that has been done they will be your best companion and a well driven horse with a sharp mind.

The Tyree horse isn‘t called the Tyree Wild Horse for no reason. Even when tamed, most Tyree retain their wild spirit.
